How to find us
Travelling by train
- The station is towards the southern side of town.
- A taxi should cost no more than nine pounds.
- Walking will take approximately 40 minutes; head directly into town and follow tourist directions for Castle Hill before using the short-range map, below.
Suggested route if driving
- From the West or South, get onto the A14 heading east (green routes on map, below). From the East you will probably be approaching along the A14 already. From the M11, turn off at J14 heading east signposted Felixstowe. If you are arriving from the North (along the A14), it is probably easiest to take the A1307 directly into town, bringing you to the X shown on the second map below, and skip the next two instructions.
- At Histon junction turn south onto the B1049 (towards Cambridge).
- Follow the B1049 into Cambridge until you reach the T junction (traffic lights) shortly after The Grapes pub.

- Head left up the A1134 (Victoria Road).
- After 250 metres turn left before the Carpenters Arms pub and go down French’s Road.

- At the very end of the road, enter Chesterton Mill. The reception is in the base of the mill tower itself.
