Benefits of becoming a SENte Centre
What are the benefits of being a SENte Centre?
By becoming a SENte Centre and delivering training to your own staff and those in local schools, you will be able to:
- demonstrate commitment to your community of schools
- provide important development opportunities for your own staff
- create a useful source of income
- raise the profile of your school
- most importantly, do even more for children with special educational needs in your area.
What do other schools get out of the programme?
Schools who pay for members of their staff to be trained by a SENte Centre can:
- meet Government standards for using ICT with SEN pupils
- improve every pupil’s access to the curriculum
- meet the increased responsibilities to support all pupils regardless of need, under the broadening inclusion agenda and Ofsted’s new framework for inspection
- provide valuable development opportunities for their staff.
What support would we receive?
As a SENte Centre, you would be fully supported by Pearson Information with:
- a comprehensive suite of marketing materials
- ongoing help with forming viable groups from schools in your locality
- full training on running courses, both for your own staff and for those from other schools
- subsidised licences to the course materials for your own use
- a £75 payment for each learner completing a course (see Apply for details)
- on-call assistance to help manage the programme
- full technical support.
